Gluten-free diets have long been in vogue, while there is now a huge global craze for gluten-free supplements and other products. Agreed, several experts recommend gluten free supplements bodybuilding or gluten protein supplements, depending upon specific body circumstances, tolerance levels and other factors. Today there are innumerable products which claim to be completely gluten-free for consumers. Children with autism may possess higher sensitivity to food items with casein or gluten. However, some researchers have still not discovered any connections between autism and gluten.
Gluten may be harmful for those afflicted with celiac disease and also problematic for people with a sense of a non-celiac nature. These people should avoid the same. However, the rest of the population should not simply go with this fad if they do not have any specific issue. A gluten-free diet may help in enhancing symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome and other problems of a gastrointestinal nature. There is no evidence that such a diet leads to more effective weight loss. Gluten-free regimes do not equate to low fat, sugar or sodium regimes. In fact, some manufacturers end up adding higher sugar and fat to food which is gluten free in order to mimic the texture and taste of regular counterparts. Such diets may result in low carbohydrates, folate, iron, zinc, niacin and fibre among other essential components.
Gluten is contained in numerous foods and it can be almost impossible to truly follow a gluten-free diet these days. Keeping all these factors in mind, it should be stated that those with no gluten problems should stick to normal products without blindly following a fad or trend.
